What Does the Kansas Conservation Partnership Do For You?

Stop by the Kansas Conservation Partnership State Fair Booth in the Pride of Kansas building to learn more about the Kansas Conservation Partnership. Information will be available about federal, state, and local natural resource programs. Pick up a free precipitation map, fun tattoos with a conservation message, and educator packets.

Federal Programs

Information will be available about the 2002 Farm Bill programs, such as Conservation Security Program (CSP), the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP), and Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP), as well as other natural resources information.

State Programs

Also, available will be handouts covering the various conservation and pollution control incentive programs offered by the State Conservation Commission through the county conservation districts.

The Smashing Truth About Soils

The Soils Guys - Mr. Soil and Clod - will again be presenting a lively, educational and entertaining noontime (noon to 1 p.m.) program on the Farm Bureau state.  The program will be on the following days:

  • Tuesday, September 13
  • Thursday, September 15
  • Friday, September 16

Stop by to see a live demonstration of making soil, eat a candy bar and learn the age of soil, watch the rainfall simulator, and lots more.  The Soils Guys make learning about soil fun!
