NRCS Schedules TSP Information Forum

"On Monday, June 20, 2005, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Salina, will hold a Technical Service Provider (TSP) Information Forum," announced Harold L. Klaege, State Conservationist.

The forum will be held at the NRCS Conference Center, 747 Duvall, Salina, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

"The purpose of the forum is to listen to the concerns of the TSPs, landowners, and others so that we have the best technical services readily available," said Klaege.

"Since the final TSP rule was published in November 2004," he said, "NRCS needs to establish an ongoing dialogue with TSPs who participate and ensure that we respond to their concerns.  This forum will allow us to get started."

Certified TSPs, others interested in being a TSP, and landowners who have used or desire to use a TSP and can provide comments on the process should attend this forum.

Oral or written comments will be accepted.  People who would like to comment and cannot attend the forum, should send written comments to John F. Ourada, State Conservation Engineer, or to Harold Klaege by June 30. Comments should be sent to 760 South Broadway, Salina, Kansas  67401-4604.
