Resource Conservation & Development Councils
Many
Kansas rural communities find it difficult to locate and acquire funds and other
resources to improve the quality of life for their citizens. Resource Conservation and
Development (RC&D) Councils work through a council of local citizens to find
resources (such as grants, loans, additional partners) to benefit rural
communities to improve environmental, social, and economic conditions throughout
the State
RC&D's purposes are:
- To promote conservation, development, and use of natural resources
- To improve the general level of economic activity
- To enhance the environment and standard of living in communities
