Kansas 2008 EQIP Allocation Process

Allocation Process

Allocations are made to NRCS administrative areas for the Forestland Health, Livestock Waste and Water Quantity natural resource concerns.  Applications in these ranking categories are ranked within the NRCS administrative area.

Note: Forestland Health is only eligible in the following counties:  Allen, Anderson, Atchison, Bourbon, Brown, Chase, Chautauqua, Cherokee, Coffey, Crawford, Doniphan, Douglas, Elk, Franklin, Geary, Greenwood, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Labette, Leavenworth, Linn, Lyon, Marshall, Miami, Montgomery, Morris, Nemaha, Neosho, Osage, Pottawatomie, Riley, Shawnee, Wabaunsee, Washington, Wilson, Woodson, and Wyandotte.

Allocations are made to the county level for Grazing Lands Health, Soil Condition, and Water Quality.  All allocations are based on the amount, type, and the magnitude of the resource concern.  Applications in these ranking categories are ranked within the county.

Allocations for Water Quantity-Quick Response Areas (QRA) are made from a separate fund, EQIP-Ground and Surface Water Conservation (GSWC). Applications in this ranking category are ranked within the QRA.
